Innovative Community Participation

Redefining What it Means to "Belong"

The NDIS emphasizes “Innovative” community participation because traditional social outings don’t always meet the modern needs of participants. This service is about breaking the mold of standard disability support. We focus on Social Inclusion—ensuring you aren’t just present in the community, but actively contributing and connecting within it.

Beyond the Basics: Tailored Social Experiences

We work with you to identify your passions. Are you a tech enthusiast? We can help you join a local coding club or gaming league. Are you an artist? We’ll find a community gallery or pottery workshop. Our “Innovative” approach includes:

  • Mainstream Integration: Helping you join clubs and groups that aren’t specifically “disability-focused,” fostering true community diversity.

  • Skill-Based Participation: Engaging in activities that teach you a new hobby while you socialize.

  • Employment Pathways: Using community volunteering as a stepping stone toward paid work.

Building Social Capital

Social isolation is one of the biggest challenges facing the disability community. Our support workers act as “social bridges,” helping you navigate the nuances of conversation, group dynamics, and friendship-building. We aim to help you build a “Social Capital” network—a group of friends, mentors, and peers who support you outside of your paid NDIS plan.
